Kid sewing too...

I ran to Joann fabrics Saturday afternoon and picked up some fabric for my daughter's new church dress. I used a pattern from the Fall 2006 Ottobre. I cut a 110, but it is still a bit wide. By measurements around she would fit into an 86, but she is way too tall for that! I didn't trace the pattern until after I had purchased the pattern, so I ended up making a bottom band rather than an underskirt since I didn't have enough of the rose color to make a whole skirt. I had the whole thing done by 11 pm on Saturday! I need to find some velvet ribbon for the waist, but she still wore it on Sunday.
