Knitting away

Baby Surprise Jacket KnitAlong

I hit a sweet spot yesterday, and got quite a few rows done. I've just done the back increases. I will admit that I'm embracing the philosophy of "done is better than perfect" since I wouldn't have enough time to finish the sweater if I tore out to fix mistakes. That is, if I could figure out exactly where the mistake occurred, lol!
BSJ progress
I somehow managed to shift one of my decreases off by a couple stitches. I found this out when I was counting to make sure I had decreased to 90. I moved my marker over and decreased both stitches on one side of it on that last row of decreases. I did tear out the row that I accidentally turned my sweater over and knit the wrong direction part way through a row, but I didn't go back and fix my poor attempt at knitting front and back. That will end up in the baby's armpits anyhow. Anyone who gets close enough to see that will be much more distracted by the cute baby, right?
BSJ holes

I am switching colors at major pattern changes. I'll probably add some more small stripes in closer towards the end. This will be a very tiny sweater. Watch and this will be my first baby over 8 pounds and it won't fit!

I'm knitting with you, but I haven't gotten as far as you have. Yours looks great, and you're right, no one else will see the mistakes. :-)
